Officers of the City of Gallatin no longer must work full-time in their city role. The city attorney was already exempt. Officers can hold other jobs or outside activities. This change takes effect only if the Gallatin legislative body approves it by a two-thirds (2/3) vote, the presiding officer proclaims the result, and it is certified to the Tennessee Secretary of State.
