If you use third-party, so do follow-ups

Beginning July 1, 2026, if you hire a third-party inspector for a required local building inspection, you must use a third-party inspector for any follow-up inspections tied to that same inspection category. This rule applies only to those related follow-ups, not to other, unrelated local inspections. It applies to actions and conduct on or after July 1, 2026. Homeowners and contractors who choose third-party inspectors are most affected.
