Drivers can erase speeding points online

Beginning July 1, 2026, drivers charged with speeding can enroll in a department-approved online course. If you finish it within 90 days after your conviction, up to 5 points are removed from your driving record. Courses are available on the department’s website. Providers must send your completion certificate to the department within 30 days and tell you how point removal works. You may still pay the fine and costs instead of appearing in court.
