Bail sureties get relief after database delay

If you posted bail as a surety, the court can relieve you of bond liability when agencies do not act on time. If the entering agency gets the bench warrant or capias but does not place the defendant on available fugitive lists within five business days, the court may remove your liability.

Violent felony no-shows listed as fugitives

If a person skips court on a felony the judge finds is violent or sexual, the law requires listing them as a fugitive. The defendant must be entered in any available state or federal database, including the National Crime Information Center. This improves information sharing and public safety.
