Prevailing wages for state highway work

The law requires payment of the prevailing wage on all state highway construction projects. It also covers public‑highway projects under non‑state contracts that use any state or federal highway funds. A “state contract” means a written agreement with the state for work on a state highway construction project. These rules start when the law takes effect and apply to contracts entered into, amended, or renewed on or after that date. Contractors and subcontractors must follow the wage determinations and related compliance duties.
