Higher limits for county mutual insurers

The law raises two dollar limits in Tennessee’s county mutual insurance law from $100,000 to $250,000. The change applies to §56-22-106(c)(1)(B) and §56-22-106(c)(2). It takes effect July 1, 2026. County mutual insurance companies are directly affected. Households are affected only indirectly if insurers change premiums, reserves, or coverage.
