Williamson County hospital deals need county approval
The law lets Williamson County Hospital District trustees sell or lease property, with limits. Selling any land or buildings the district owns or operates requires approval from the Williamson County Board of Commissioners. Leasing nearly all district facilities also requires that approval, whether through one deal or a series of related deals. The act takes effect only after approval by a two-thirds vote of the county legislative body. Local officials must announce approval or rejection and certify the result to the Secretary of State.
