Texas year-round daylight time needs federal approval

The law requires year-round daylight saving time across both the Central and Mountain time portions of Texas. It names the state's official time “Texas Time.” The start date is September 1, 2025, but only if Congress passes legislation that becomes law authorizing the change. Without that federal authorization, the act has no effect.
