Beginning September 1, 2025, federally qualified health centers and their providers qualify for faster Medicaid managed-care credentialing and payment. Applicants must be enrolled in Medicaid. They must have a current Medicaid managed-care contract or belong to or provide care for a contracted provider group or center. They must accept the contract terms and submit all information required to begin credentialing and join the plan’s provider network. If a state agency finds federal approval necessary, it must request approval and can delay the affected provision until approval arrives. The law sets no credentialing deadline or payment amount.
