New rules for Moore County's juvenile board

Beginning September 1, 2025, Moore County's juvenile board includes the county judge and the county court-at-law judge. The Commissioners Court appoints three to five other members, replacing the prior six appointed members. Appointees serve two-year terms ending December 31 of even-numbered years. The Commissioners Court can vote to extend a member's term by up to two years. Human Resources Code Sections 152.0002 through 152.0006 do not apply to the board; Sections 152.0007 and 152.0008 now apply. The provided text does not explain what those state rules require or identify a direct household financial effect.
