Clearer local bond costs for residents

Beginning September 1, 2025, the Texas Bond Review Board must develop and maintain a searchable public database on its website. It must cover every bond proposed or issued by a local government. Each listing must show the amount borrowed, estimated interest, estimated total repayment, and estimated minimum yearly debt payments. The database must be ready by September 1, 2026, giving residents public access to local borrowing costs.
