Beginning September 1, 2025, the law removes the special pay rule for Texana Groundwater Conservation District directors. It repeals Section 8857.056 of the Special District Local Laws Code without setting replacement pay terms. The law alone does not establish whether directors’ pay rises, falls, or stays the same.
