Effective September 1, 2025, the law requires the Texas Historical Commission to establish a presidential library promotion program as soon as practicable. It supports the Lyndon Baines Johnson, George H. W. Bush, and George W. Bush presidential libraries and museums. The program promotes tourism and public awareness. Working with the libraries, it develops a mobile exhibit for communities, schools, and other public institutions. The exhibit includes artifacts, multimedia presentations, and educational materials about the three presidents and their legacies. The commission administers the program and may contract with a nonprofit to run it. It must create an account for gifts, grants, and donations, and may add legislative funding. Account money can only pay for program purposes; the law sets no funding amount.
