Military plans count in some college admissions

Certain Texas public universities must consider applicants’ plans to enlist in the U.S. armed forces or join their cadet corps. This applies to schools with a cadet corps that operates as a fraternal group beyond Reserve Officers’ Training Corps training. The law does not guarantee admission or say how much weight schools must give these plans.
