Fuel tax relief for small-city transit

The law extends a fuel-tax exemption for compressed or liquefied natural gas at qualifying metropolitan transit authority refueling sites. The authority must operate under Texas's metropolitan rapid transit law. Its main city must have fewer than 320,000 people. Other vehicles using the site must already be exempt from fuel tax. Their use must be limited to emergencies or other urgent situations covered by an agreement between governments.
