More UVI tuition help for residents

The law puts $2.3 million into UVI’s Scholarship Revolving Fund for the year ending September 30, 2026. The money comes from the General Fund. It is for tuition scholarships for residents of the U.S. Virgin Islands who study at UVI. Eligible UVI students who are VI residents can get tuition help from this fund.

UVI budget shifts to General Fund

The law changes how part of UVI’s budget is paid. Up to $3,000,000 each year now comes from the General Fund, not the Internal Revenue Matching Fund. This makes the General Fund responsible for that amount each year. The law also changes two appropriation figures in Act No. 9028, replacing $34,977,962 with a figure shown as $37,277.96 in those places.
