Easier HIV drug access for Medicaid patients

Beginning July 27, 2025, Washington Apple Health must cover all FDA-approved HIV antiviral drugs. The Health Care Authority must ensure coverage in both fee-for-service and managed care. You do not need prior approval or to try another drug first. Managed care plans must provide this coverage when they start or renew a Health Care Authority contract.
