Wisconsin funds long-term care assessment tax refunds

Wisconsin provides enough state money to pay refundable long-term care insurance assessment credits to eligible recipients. The law sets no total funding amount or individual payment amount. Funding depends on enactment of companion 2025 Assembly Bill LRB-5462/1; without that companion law, this act is void. The funding change starts on the later of the companion law’s effective date or this act’s nonstatutory provision’s effective date. For the companion law, the first enacted version controls.
