Starting in the 2026–27 school year, eligible youth groups can request access to Wisconsin public school students. Principals must schedule at least one date and time at the beginning of the school term. This covers public schools, including independent charter schools and schools in a first-class city school district. Groups must be federally chartered under Title 36, chapters 301, 309, 311, 709, or 803, have an educational purpose, and promote civic involvement. Representatives can share spoken or written information to encourage students to join, including how the group supports education and good citizenship. Visits take place on school property during the school day; principals can choose time when classes are not being taught.
