Dam construction; underspill device; fish ladder.

Sec. 30719. (1) The department may require that a new dam that is proposed to be constructed be equipped with an underspill device for the release of cold bottom waters for the protection of downstream fish habitats. (2) The department may require the installation of a fish ladder or other device to permit the free passage of fish.
