Inspection appointment; issuance of certificate of compliance; report describing reason for rejection.

Sec. 6527. (1) A person shall not be required to make an appointment for a vehicle inspection. (2) A testing station shall inspect and reinspect motor vehicles in accordance with this part and the rules promulgated under this part by the department. The station shall issue a certificate of compliance for a motor vehicle that has been inspected and determined to comply with the standards and criteria of the department pursuant to the rules promulgated under this part. If a certificate of compliance is not issued, the inspection station shall provide a written inspection report describing the reason for rejection.
