Violation of MCL 330.1723 or making of false report as misdemeanor; civil liability.

Sec. 723c. (1) An individual who intentionally violates section 723 or who knowingly makes a false report pursuant to section 723 is guilty of a misdemeanor. (2) An individual who violates section 723 is civilly liable for the damages proximately caused by the violation.
