Written request to director; manner; electronic communication.

Sec. 9. (1) Except for a request for an expedited external review under section 13, all requests for external review must be made in writing to the director. (2) A written notice required to be provided under this act must be provided in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner, as required under 45 CFR 147.136(b)(2)(ii)(E). (3) A health carrier may satisfy a requirement for the delivery of a notice to a covered person under this act by complying with 29 CFR 2520.104b-1(c) with respect to the use of electronic communication.
