Sec. 167a. Within 10 days of receipt of the plat under section 161(2)(d), the state transportation department shall do 1 of the following: (a) Approve the plat and notify the proprietor of its approval. (b) Reject the plat and notify the proprietor directly, giving the reasons in writing. The commission shall send a copy of the letter of rejection to the chairperson of the county plat board.
