325F.42 FRAUD IN THE SALE OF FUR WEARING APPAREL. § Subdivision 1.Fur constituent part. Articles of wearing apparel of which fur is a constituent part shall not be sold or offered for sale at retail in the state under any false or deceptive name. § Subd. 2.False and deceptive name. For the purposes of this section, "false or deceptive name" means a name which implies that the fur which is a constituent part of the article is of substantially greater value than the fur which is actually used. § Subd. 3.Identifying tag attached to garment. The fur which is a constituent part of any article of wearing apparel sold or offered for sale at retail shall be identified by its true name, and its trade name, if any, upon a tag or ticket prominently attached or displayed on the garment and shall be identified further by its true name, and its trade name, if any contained on a sales slip or invoice delivered to the purchaser at the time of sale. § Subd. 4.Violations and penalty. Any person who violates any of the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a gross misdemeanor. History: 1949 c 203 s 1-4
