375.167 NONPROFIT LEGAL ASSISTANCE CORPORATIONS. § Subdivision 1.Appropriations. Notwithstanding any contrary law, a county board may appropriate from the general revenue fund to any nonprofit corporation a sum not to exceed 0.00604 percent of estimated market value to provide legal assistance to persons who are unable to afford private legal counsel. § Subd. 2.Contiguous counties may combine appropriations. Any two or more contiguous counties may by concurrent resolution of their county boards combine their appropriations to a single nonprofit corporation to serve the purpose of subdivision 1 in their counties.
