The boards of county commissioners of the several counties of Montana are hereby authorized and empowered to: (1) take out county membership in and cooperate with associations and organizations of other counties or county officials of this state and of other states for the furtherance of good government and the protection of county interests; and (2) pay for such membership in such associations or organizations with county funds.
