(1) The supreme court shall review the record of the proceedings and shall make such determination as it finds just and proper and may: (a) order censure, suspension, removal, or retirement of a judicial officer; or (b) wholly reject the recommendation. (2) Any hearing conducted before the supreme court relative to a recommendation by the commission, together with all papers pertaining to such recommendation, shall be accessible to the public.
