The commissioner or any deputy, examiner, assistant, or employee of the commissioner: (1) may not be financially interested, directly or indirectly, in any insurer, insurance agency, or insurance transaction except as a policyholder or claimant under a policy; and (2) is subject to the ethics provisions in Title 2, chapter 2.
