Definitions

As used in this part, the following definitions apply: (1) "Department" means the department of corrections provided for in 2-15-2301. (2) (a) "Private correctional facility" means a correctional facility that is either privately operated or privately owned and operated. (b) The term does not include a private detention center or a regional jail governed by Title 7, chapter 32, part 22.
