Effective date of this act

§ 21-1707. Effective date of this act.\n The provisions of this act shall become effective immediately upon\nfinal enactment; but the Governor shall not enter into the compact\nherein set forth until the state of New Jersey and the commonwealth of\nPennsylvania shall have passed a substantially similar act embodying the\nsaid compact between at least the states of New Jersey, New York and the\ncommonwealth of Pennsylvania.\n
