Transmittal of bills to the Governor

§ 9. Transmittal of bills to the Governor. All Senate bills passed by\nthe Senate and sent to the Assembly for action shall, upon passage and\nreturn by the Assembly to the Senate, be transmitted by the Secretary to\nthe Governor within forty-five days after receipt from the Assembly;\nexcept that upon the filing of a request to hold such bill with the\nSecretary by the sponsor of the bill, the bill shall be held until such\ntime as the sponsor rescinds the request to hold the bill and upon such\nrescission the Secretary shall transmit the bill to the Governor within\nseven days.\n
