Conveyance of defendant in custody after change of venue. When the court has ordered a change of place of trial, if the defendant is in custody, the clerk of the court shall issue an order to the sheriff of the county, directing the sheriff to safely convey the defendant and deliver the defendant to the custody of the executive head of the correctional institution of the county where the defendant is to be tried.
