REPORTS ON MEMBERS IN HAZARDOUS POSITIONS
Note: Sections 12 to 15, chapter 101, Oregon Laws 2024, provide:
Sec. 12. The Public Employees Retirement Board shall study the likely liability of participating public employers for members in hazardous positions, as defined in ORS 238A.005, as amended by section 2 of this 2024 Act. The board shall submit a report in the manner provided by ORS 192.245, and shall include recommendations for implementation of benefits for members working in hazardous positions, to the interim committees of the Legislative Assembly related to public employee retirement no later than September 15, 2028. Sec. 13. (1) Section 12 of this 2024 Act becomes operative on July 1, 2027.
(2) Section 12 of this 2024 Act is repealed on January 2, 2030. [2024 c.101 §13]
Sec. 14. The Public Employees Retirement Board shall report at each odd-numbered year regular session, in writing or in person, to a committee of the Legislative Assembly related to public employee retirement on progress toward implementing the amendments to ORS 238A.005, 238A.125, 238A.134, 238A.160, 238A.220, 238A.240, 338.135, 352.138 and 353.100 by sections 2, 3 and 5 to 11 of this 2024 Act. The report must include the impact of any delays occurring as a result of other ongoing projects of the board. [2024 c.101 §14]
Sec. 15. Section 14 of this 2024 Act is repealed on January 2, 2030. [2024 c.101 §15]
