“Public employee” defined. For the purposes of this section and ORS 243.854 and 243.855, “public employee” means officers or employees, classified, unclassified, exempt and nonexempt, of

(1) State agencies.

(2) Community colleges.

(3) School districts and education service districts.

(4) County governments.

(5) City governments.

(6) Districts as defined in ORS 255.012 and any other special district. [Formerly 243.325]
