Employee transfer of unused sick leave. (1) When an employee of the Department of Education leaves the department to become an employee of a school district or an education service district, the employee may transfer any accrued but unused sick leave to the district and may use the transferred sick leave in accordance with the sick leave policy of the district

(2) When an employee of a school district or an education service district leaves the district to become an employee of the Department of Education, the employee may transfer any accrued but unused sick leave to the department and may use the transferred sick leave in accordance with the sick leave policy of the department.
