Annual assessment. (1) If the Interstate Commission levies an annual assessment as described in Article XIV of the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children under ORS 326.552, the Department of Education shall fund the annual assessment

(2) For purposes of funding the annual assessment, the department may accept contributions of funds and assistance from any source, public or private, and agree to conditions placed on the funds not inconsistent with the purposes of the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children under ORS 326.552.
