Owners’ rights to terminate road proceedings. (1) A county governing body shall discontinue any proceedings to acquire real property for public road purposes that are initiated by a petition described ORS 368.081 at any time before acquisition of the property if a majority of the owners of property that would abut the proposed road file objections to establishing the road with the county governing body
