Statewide household hazardous waste public education program. The Department of Environmental Quality shall implement a statewide household hazardous waste public education program. The program shall include but need not be limited to providing information about

(1) Alternatives to disposal of household hazardous waste at solid waste disposal sites;

(2) Methods of reusing or recycling household hazardous waste; and

(3) Alternatives to the use of products that lead to the generation of household hazardous waste. [1989 c.833 §76]
