Back pay not to be reduced by benefits received; exception for strikes. (1) Except as provided in subsection (2) of this section, the amount of back pay paid by an employer, or awarded by a judge or arbitrator, to an individual may not be reduced to reflect the amount of benefits that the individual received for the period for which the back pay was paid or awarded
