Student health benefit plans; rules. (1) As used in this section, “student health benefit plan” means a plan that is subject to rules adopted by the United States Department of Health and Human Services under 42 U.S.C. 18118(c)

(2) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Department of Consumer and Business Services shall by rule and in a manner consistent with federal law in effect on January 1, 2017, adopt requirements for student health benefit plans. [2013 c.681 §4; 2017 c.152 §3]
