Failure to surrender canceled registration or title; penalty. (1) A person commits the offense of failure to surrender canceled registration or title if the person holds any evidence of registration or any evidence of title issued by the Department of Transportation that the department has canceled and the person does not surrender the evidence of registration or title to the department

(2) The offense described in this section, failure to surrender canceled registration or title, is a Class A misdemeanor. [1983 c.338 §290; 1993 c.233 §55]
