Coordination with Commission on Higher Education and others; budget; college parallel courses and associate degree programs

(A) The board and local area commissions shall ensure effective coordination with the public schools, other state agencies, literary councils, and private and nonprofit training organizations to maximize opportunities to best meet local education and training needs. The board shall maintain effective coordination with the Commission on Higher Education and other educational boards and state agencies. (B) All college parallel courses or associate degree programs are subject to the approval or termination by the Commission on Higher Education.
