Duties

1 V.I.C. § 322

(a) The Office of Status Education shall:(a) educate the public on the issue of status in both English and Spanish;(b) organize and conduct meetings within the territory for the discussion of status and related issues;(c) conduct research or surveys of the issue of status and how it impacts the Virgin Islands;(d) apply to the United States Department of Interior for the funds necessary to educate the public on the issue of status;(e) complete and summarize the work started by previous Status Commissions; and(f) do all things necessary to fulfill the purposes of this chapter.
