Public tree planting

12 V.I.C. § 141

An entity or person who wants to plant a tree in the road right-of-way or other public space must submit an application to an urban forester. Information regarding the location, spacing, tree species and the sizes of the trees must be included in the application. The urban forester shall ensure that a tree listed on the recommended tree species list is planted, that the recommendations and best management practices of the Tree Board are followed and that the planting and maintenance of the tree has been properly considered.
