14 V.I.C. § 1303

(1) Whoever—(1) being authorized to solemnize any marriage, willfully makes a false return of any marriage or pretended marriage to the court;(2) contracts such a marriage;(3) knowingly takes part in the celebration of such a marriage; or(4) makes a false record of any marriage return—shall be fined not more than $200 or imprisoned not more than 1 year, or both.
