14 V.I.C. § 1505

(1) Whoever—(1) practices any fraud or deceit on; or(2) knowingly makes or exhibits any false statement, representation, token or writing to—any witness, or person about to be called as a witness, upon any trial, proceeding, inquiry or investigation authorized by law, shall be fined not more than $200 or imprisoned not more than 1 year, or both.
