Any person who escapes or attempts to escape while committed to institutional custody for examination or treatment under this subchapter, or any person who rescues or attempts to rescue or instigates, aids, or assists the escape or attempts to assist the escape of the person, is subject to the penalties provided in title 14 V.I.C. § 661, § 662 and § 663.
