Any Auxiliary Communicator who, having been activated according to the process in this subchapter, acting in the scope of their assignment, renders communications assistance to the territory is not liable for civil damages for any personal injuries or property damage that result from acts or omissions by the Auxiliary Communicator in rendering communications assistance, which may constitute ordinary negligence. This immunity does not apply to acts or omissions constituting gross, willful, or wanton negligence.
