(a) To be eligible for certification by the Board as a speech-language pathology assistant or audiology assistant, an applicant shall:(a) be at least 18 years of age;(b) be of good moral character;(c) hold a bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology or audiology from an accredited institution or other degree provided for in regulations adopted by the Board;(d) complete the clinical observation hours and supervised clinical assisting experience hours required by the regulations adopted by the Board; and(e) after a period of supervised practice by a licensed speech-language pathologist or audiologist, successfully complete a competency skills checklist as provided for in regulations adopted by the Board.
